As we approach our centenary, we have been considering how the University can continue to provide the best possible learning environment well into the future.
The University is moving towards a new framework for undergraduate and postgraduate study.
We are restructuring our courses to equip our students with a global outlook and a community conscience.
The move is based on the report of the Review of Course Structures Education for Tomorrow's World, developed over two years in a highly consultative process involving university staff and students, as well as business, government, professional and wider community input.
The University's governing body, Senate, approved the Future Framework at its December 2008 meeting. The Senate approval follows endorsement by the University's Academic Board of the principles in the Review report.
